What is it with people tweeting out quotes without any citation?

Are they shady? Insecure? Inept? Or do they really think we won’t cut and paste the quote into Google and see who said it originally?

I’m not saying that everyone has deceitful intentions, but when you post someone else’s profound statement, and you don’t give them credit, you come across no better than a snake oil salesman.
